Serbia can finance enclaves

UNMIK official Andreas Witkowsky said the agreement has yet to be signed, but that the decision to have Belgrade pay for the electricity was in line with UNMIK policy to support the Kosovo energy corporation (KEK).

Witkowsky said at yesterday’s press conference that the Kosovo Government was not part of the negotiations: “We clearly said that everything agreed has to comply with UNMIK and KEK policies for covering the costs of consumed electricity”.
