Simić: Kosovo negotiations deadlocked

Simić told the BBC that it would not be in Serbia’s interest for the Contact Group to remain divided or stop functioning.

”It’s in our interest to make the major players realize what the situation in the Balkans is, meaning that we are either about to, in contravention to all the principles that applied to the breakdown of the former Yugoslavia, create a brand new extra-state, which will start a chain reaction, or will adhere to the accepted principles and calm the Albanian secessionism which was given a boost by the 1999 NATO campaign against Serbia”, Simić said.
