Commission adopts referendum instructions

In Kosovo, voting will be conducted at polling stations which fulfill all conditions for implementing the referendum and where all participators and voting material will be safe.

The voter list will be finalized by midnight, October 12, and citizens who are serving in the military or are in prison will also be able to vote. The total number of registered voters will be announced by midnight on October 14, at the latest.

Once the voter list is confirmed, the RIK will make all necessary changes and additions on the basis of court decisions by midnight, October 25.

The lists will be printed in Serbian Cyrillic and in the languages of national minorities in municipalities in which these languages are used by the local administrations.

The polling stations will be open on October 28 and 29, from 7 am to midnight.

At all locations in Serbia and abroad, except in Kosovo, from 100 to 2,500 voters will be able to vote.

Media silence will begin 48 hours before the beginning of the referendum.

The results of the referendum must be confirmed by 8 pm on November 2. RIK, the municipal commissions and the voting councils will be responsible for the implementation of the referendum.
