He said that he did not expect Culture Minister Dragan Kojadinović would be replaced because of Vuk Drašković’s election, nor his party would be left without the Office of the Diaspora, which is now headed by Vojislav Vukčević.“The representatives of other parties in the Serbian Government did not ask for any ministerial chairs from us so that Drašković could keep the position of the foreign affairs chief,” explains Senić.
According to Blic, SPS official Zoran Anđelković said that the Socialists would not support Drašković’s election and added that all deputies of this party who could possibly vote for him, would bear the consequences and most likely be excluded from the party. The foreign affairs and defense ministers will be elected after the Serbian Parliament adopts the Ministry Law, after which Koštunica will suggest the candidates for these positions.
However, the SDPO expects to obtain two ministries this fall during the Government’s reconstruction, and it is especially interested in the positions of the Culture and Diaspora Ministries.
“We expect to be offered the participation in the Government by the Prime Minister Koštunica. If SPO with three chairs in the Parliament had three ministers and the foreign affairs chief, then we can also have two ministers with nine deputies,” say officials of the SDPO, a party headed by Vojislav Mihailović and Veroljub Stevanović.
They declared that they already have the candidates for the Culture Ministry; ballet dancer Aja Jung and actress Ljiljana Blagojević.
Culture Minister Dragan Kojadinović said for Blic that he did not have the tendency to listen to nonsense and he was not interested in the speculations that he would be replaced from this position.
