Serbs at “Storm” commemoration

Deputy Serbian Mayor Dragan Jerković said that this represents a new chapter in the relations between Croatians and Serbs in Knin.

“I believe that our participating in preparing the festivities of the Thanksgiving Day celebration will encourage the development of trust and the Serbian population will no longer have to subject to aggression and resistance.” Jerković said.

“On that day, August 5, 1995, in my village of Golubić, 32 Serbian civilians were killed. It is a tragic day for my village, but also a day when the independence of Croatia was marked, the nation in which we live in. That is why we all must show respect to one another and celebrate, especially the state officials and the local governmental representatives.” Jerković, who is an official of the Independent Democratic Serbian Party, said.

The commemoration of Operation Storm will last 20 days. The manifestations will begin on July 28, with cultural, athletic, and entertainment programs entitled “Weekends in Knin,” and will end on August 5 with the concert of Marko Perković Tompson, whose songs are mostly oriented towards Ustaša and anti-Serb sentiments.

Bure baruta pred eksplozijom: Počinje veliki rat?

Bliski istok, zbog promene ravnoteže snaga i dubokih kriza, pre svega palestinsko-izraelske, može se smatrati buretom baruta i ima potencijal da dovede ne samo do regionalnog sukoba, već i do globalnog konflikta.
