Financial aid program for exporters

The program has been modeled on similar successful programs funded by the EU. The 100 million dinar funds will be allocated through a public competition open until September 19. The individual amounts will range from 250 000 to 2,5 million dinars.

The assistance is meant for successful small and medium enterprises engaged in production or services destined for export, currently without a large share of the market, but with potential and sound business projects.

The Finance Ministry will form a commission in charged of establishing which companies meet the set criteria related to their financial capabilities and experience in managing similar projects, as well as the degree to which the project contributes to the international recognition, feasibility and sustainability, and costs.

Last year SIEPA concluded the implementation of the EU Financial assistance program dedicated to the export marketing of Serbian companies. 98 out of 1192 applications met the EU criteria, with the average allocated sum of € 11 700. Most of the chosen companies were funded to introduce quality control systems, visit foreign markets, produce promotional material, and take part in international fairs.
