"How come only Serbs saw rifles?," he asked, an apparent reference to Saturday's incident when a train traveling from Belgrade to Kosovska Mitrovica was prevented from entering Kosovo.

"Still, I'm ready for every kind of compromise, dialogue and agreement," said Vucic.

Vucic also reiterated his positions about NATO HQ's messages reported by agencies earlier in the day, regarding the activities of the Kosovo police in northern Kosovo.

Namely, NATO officials said that Pristina "does not have to ask permission to deploy police in the north."

Vucic said this was an attempt to use form in order to obscure the essence, adding that there was "an oral agreement about that."

Only two agreements reached in Brussels have been in written form, he remarked, adding that the agreements on a bridge in Kosovska Mitrovica and on Telekom Srbija were also "in oral form, until the final initials."

"But, what can you do, when someone's trying to use form to obscure the essence, then you have a problem like that. All in all, I'm convinced, and somehow certain, that we will remain stable and solid as a rock, because that will mean better economic success and living standard for citizens," said Vucic.

He also believes that "a peaceful and rational solution" will be found with the Kosovo Albanians.

"We've had separate contacts with the Albanians in Kosovo and I believe we can solve all problems in a peaceful, rational and reasonable manner," Vucic told reporters in Davos.

Armored vehicles and rifles, meanwhile, "lead nowhere and are not a part of the solution," Vucic said.

"For us the problem is just one thing of key importance, and that is the use and carrying of light and heavy weapons," said Vucic.
