Serbia is up 12 places in the latest the World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Competitiveness Index (GCI).

Serbia moves up in Global Competitiveness Index

This is country's best result since 2010, representatives of the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM) and the Foundation for the Advancement of Economics (FREN) have told a news conference.

FREN Director Jelena Zarkovic-Rakic said that improvements were reported in eight most important categories used to appraise a country's competitiveness, while the most progress was made in microeconomic environment, where Serbia moved up 31 places.

Serbia also moved up 14 places in labor market efficiency, and ten places in higher education and training.
