Exchange rate at RSD 119.55, NBS sells EUR 70mn

The Serbian dinar dropped on Thursday against the euro by another 0.1 percent or 15 paras, thus setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 119.5502.

Exchange rate at RSD 119.55, NBS sells EUR 70mn

This is be the new record low for the national currency against the euro since the beginning of the year.

According to a release posted on the NBS website, the value of the dinar against the eurozone standard currency will be lower by 0.4 percent compared to the previous month and by 4.4 percent lower than a year ago.

The indicative exchange rate for the dinar against the U.S. dollar is stronger by 0.2 percent and totals RSD 94.3271 for USD 1.

The exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar is lower by 2 percent on the annual and by 10.7 percent on the annual level.

Since the beginning of the year, NBS purchased EUR 200 million on the inter-bank foreign currency market and sold EUR 1.1115 billion, including the Wednesday transaction, in order to prevent excessive daily oscillation of the exchange rate.
