Serbian currency falls to new low against euro

The Serbian dinar (RSD)dropped 0.1 percent against the euro (EUR) on Friday, setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 117.5600.

Serbian currency falls to new low against euro

The dinar is down 1.1 percent against the common European currency from the month before on Friday. Year-on-year, it is down 2.8 percent.

The indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate is unchanged at 88.6309.

Set against the U.S. dollar, the Serbian currency is down 3.2 percent from a month ago and four percent from a year ago.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBS has bought a total of EUR 200 million and sold EUR 890 million to prevent excessive daily fluctuations in the exchange rate.
