Serbia's latest unemployment figure - 20.1%

BELGRADE -- The latest available figures for the country's unemployment rate in show that 20.1 percent of Serbians were out of work in October 2013.

This is four percentage points less than six months earlier, in April.

The Statistical Office (RZS) also said that unemployment among men was 19.4 percent, and 21.2 percent among women.

The Belgrade region reported the lowest rate - 16.7 percent, while a majority of the country's unemployed citizens reside in the province of Vojvodina - 23.1 percent.

At the same time, the employment rate reached 39.1 percent in October - 2.8 percentage points up on April.
