Statistical Office reports zero inflation in September
Retail consumer prices of goods and services in Serbia stayed the same in September 2013 and there was no increase in inflation rate.

BELGRADE Retail consumer prices of goods and services in Serbia stayed the same in September 2013 and there was no increase in inflation rate. At the same time, the inter-annual inflation dropped to 4.9 percent. Statistical Office reports zero inflation in September According to the data posted on the website of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the inflation rate increase totalled 2.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The prices which dropped the most in September relative to August are the prices of communications (by 0.7 percent) and the prices of public utility services, electricity and gas (by 0.5 percent). The prices of transport increased by 0.4 percent, while the prices of catering and hotel services grew by 0.3 percent, and the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.2 percent. The drop was also recorded in the prices of recreation and cultural services (by 5.4 percent) and in the groups of clothes and footwear and furniture, house appliances and apartment maintenance (by 0.1 percent each).
