BELGRADE The State Audit Institution (DRI) has announced that public procurement irregularities exceeding RSD 47bn were found during the audit of 122 entities in 2011. DRI President Radoslav Sretenovic said at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on finances that the contracts concluded without following public procurement procedures account for 84.65 percent of overall irregularities. According to Sretenovic, the value of public procurements that were not published in the Official Gazette and on the public procurement portal totaled RSD 1.7 billion in the previous year, which constitutes 3.8 percent of overall irregularities in the implementation of the law on public procurements.
