Estimates show revenues of some EUR 20mn during the four days of the EXIT music festival in Novi Sad. Those who benefited from the event include the festival's owners, shops, restaurants, taxi drivers, but also the railway company and bus carriers. EXIT 08: Good business Revelers who failed to find accommodation at the festival's camp rented rooms and apartments in Novi Sad, with landlords earning an average of EUR 130 a day. Apart from accommodation costs, various polls show that visitors from abroad spent between EUR 150 and 450, while the Serbians spent some EUR 200 on average. At the same time, MUP estimates that some 160,000 people took part in this year's EXIT, although some media reports suggest that the number was as high as 170,000. 25,000 of those were foreigners. The estimated earnings collected by those selling goods and services during this year's EXIT thus come to EUR 20mn, with foreigners spending "at least" EUR 7.5mn, while domestic visitors left more than EUR 12mn in Novi Sad. The festival's organizers say they spent EUR 2mn to organize the event this year.
