Jelašić re-elected central bank chief

The parliament Wednesday approved a second term for Radovan Jelasic, incumbent National Bank of Serbia (NBS) governor. His candidacy was put forward by the Finance Committee, at a proposal by his party, G17 Plus. However, the governor did not attend either sessions. The opposition criticized the way Jelasic was proposed for a new, five-year term, and his results at the helm of the central bank.
