East Point eyes Danube barges
East Point Holding owner Zoran Drakulić said the plans to buy in Serbia stem from the company’s assessment of an increased volume of traffic on the Danube in the coming years, and its activities linked to its Constanza-based 3.5-million-ton capacity wheat silo.Drakulić told Beta that the acquisition of the Austrian and Hungarian barges will cost his company more than 100 million euros.
Drakulić added that the move represented “the largest Serbian investment in Western Europe”.
