Restitution law by year’s end
During a foreign investors’ meeting held in September in Belgrade, Parivodić confirmed that the monopoly will be omitted from the new constitution. He said the foreign investors in Serbia urged the government to urgently adopting a set of economic laws regulating foreign investment in Serbia, among others, “the building grounds reform”.
The Serbian International relations minister specified at the time that another process will follow, that of denationalization.
Intellectual property protection
“The essence of the Law on Efficient intellectual property protection is the fact that the customs service, the police, and the inspection service must confiscate items or suspend activities breaching intellectual property rights on the spot and without previous procedure”, he said.
Emphasizing that the Law on Foreign trade will deregulate licensing, Parivodić said the domestic companies will no longer be obligated to register license contracts, adding that he believed Serbia with this joined the modern licensing standards.
