Serbia, Russia to sign six agreements on April 10

MOSCOW A delegation of the Serbian government led by Prime Minister Ivica Dacic will sign six agreements in Moscow next week. This was announced on Wednesday by Serbian Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Milan Bacevic. Serbia, Russia to sign six agreements on April 10 After a meeting with Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Bacevic said the agreements referred to approving a loan for Serbia's budget, cooperation in defence, education, railways, protection of military memorials and monuments and cooperation with a region in Russia. Bacevic said that while preparing the 12th plenary session of the Serbia-Russia committee on economic cooperation, he and Novak "cleared up several misunderstandings." They discussed extensions to the licences given to Gazprom and NIS for geological surveys in search for natural gas in Serbia by 2020, the third energy agreement Serbia had signed, ore fees for Gazprom, Russia's interest in oil shales in Aleksinac, southern Serbia, and in the Kovin energy complex, northern Serbia. The rest of the so-called clearing debt Russia has towards Serbia, related to the reconstruction of the Djerdap 1 power station, will be paid in money, Bacevic noted. The ministers also discussed the South Stream gas pipeline project and, according to Bacevic, both sides have not finished the projects yet. Bacevic will discuss the project with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller as well. These topics will be discussed in detail by the Russia-Serbia committee in Belgrade. (Tanjug, file) Tanjug

After a meeting with Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak, Bačević said the agreements referred to approving a loan for Serbia's budget, cooperation in defence, education, railways, protection of military memorials and monuments and cooperation with a region in Russia.

Bačević said that while preparing the 12th plenary session of the Serbia-Russia committee on economic cooperation, he and Novak "cleared up several misunderstandings."

They discussed extensions to the licences given to Gazprom and NIS for geological surveys in search for natural gas in Serbia by 2020, the third energy agreement Serbia had signed, ore fees for Gazprom, Russia's interest in oil shales in Aleksinac, southern Serbia, and in the Kovin energy complex, northern Serbia.

The rest of the so-called clearing debt Russia has towards Serbia, related to the reconstruction of the Đerdap 1 power station, will be paid in money, Bačević noted.

The ministers also discussed the South Stream gas pipeline project and, according to Bačević, both sides have not finished the projects yet.

Bačević will discuss the project with Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller as well.

These topics will be discussed in detail by the Russia-Serbia committee in Belgrade.
