Serbia's external debt up to EUR 25.54 billion

BELGRADE -- Serbia's external debt at the end of October amounted to EUR 25.54 billion, reflecting a EUR 704.1 million increase on the previous month.

This was announced in the latest edition of Conjuncture Trends, the journal of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS).

The long-term debt went up by EUR 491.9 million, while the short-term debt increased by EUR 212.2 million.

The private sector debt increased by EUR 605.200 (the debt of enterprises went down by EUR 213.5 million, and the debt of banks rose by 214.2 million), while the external debt of the public sector went up by EUR 703.5 million.

Out of the total debt, EUR 25.29 billion account for the due principle, while EUR 250.6 million account for the regular interest rate.

The external debt of the public sector amounted to EUR 11.65 billion, or 45.6 percent, while the external debt of the private sector totaled EUR 13.89 billion or 54.4 percent.
