Morocco interested in Serbian produce

Zaječar -- Representatives of the Moroccan Chamber of Commerce said that produce from Serbia will be sold in their country.

The delegation visited Zaječar on Friday as guests of the Regional Agency for the Development of Eastern Serbia (RARIS).

Morocco imports, for instance, apples and wheat from Latin America, but it would be much simpler to import them from Serbia, Director of the Nador Chamber of Commerce Hussin al Hamouti said.

The Moroccan delegation has seen that Serbia's agricultural potential is rich and could be very interesting to Morocco, he said.

Hamouti said that there is room for cooperation and jobs in Morocco for Serbia's construction companies, which have a long tradition and experienced workers he said, adding that Morocco could export phosphates to Serbia.

Morocco focuses mainly on the very important tourism industry, but also wishes to develop its agriculture and new technologies, he said.

The Moroccan delegation was in the country on a seven-day study tour of Serbia.
