Deal with Gazprom "won't change"
11 November 2009 | 11:32 | Source: Tanjug
BELGRADE -- The realization of the technical agreement between Gazpromneft and the Serbian government will not change.

This is regardless of an auditing report about RSD 8bn in losses that the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) – now owned by Gazprom – suffered in 2008, Minister for Energy and Mining Petar Škundrić stated.

"The government has no obligations concerning this matter, as when it was selling 51 percent of NIS shares, it presented all relevant facts and Gazpromneft bought NIS in a state in which the company was at that time," Škundrić told the journalists in Belgrade.

He said that the auditing was carried out so as to determine the exact state of NIS business activities from the aspect of the distribution of the new profit which the company will generate this year.
