Russian loan negotiations to continue
2 November 2009 | 18:06 | Source: Tanjug
BELGRADE -- The first round of negotiations on the USD 1bn Russian loan ended in Moscow, the Serbian Ministry of Finance announced on Monday.

The loan is set to provide assistance for the Serbian budget and help finance infrastructure projects in the country.

Assistant Minister of Finance Zoran Ĉiroviĉ said that the negotiations were "conducted in a constructive environment", adding that the financial terms would be negotiated during the next round, to be organized in Belgrade soon.

"Considering that the infrastructure projects in question are large railway projects for the most part, both the financial support and the participation of big Russian companies, working together with Serbian companies, are expected," the Ministry of Finance stated.
