Stock market up on arrest news
22 July 2008 | 11:25 | Source: Beta
BELGRADE -- The morning trading at the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE) saw a rise of its BELEX15 index.

Beta news agency says that the index gained between one and two percent in the first hour of trading, and links this result with the Karadžić arrest and announcements of a speedier EU integration process.

The most liquid AIK Banka [AIKB] stock was in the green at between one and five percent, while A-listed Sojaprotein [SJPT] gained some three percent.

In the past month, the BELEX15 closed up three times but only with slight gains: 0.17 percent on June 23, 0.01 percent on July 11, and 0.02 percent on July 18.
