The head of the Jasenovac municipality in Croatia says she sees "nothing contentious" about a memorial with the words "For home ready" inscribed on it.

Fascist slogan near death camp site - "nothing contentious"
This phrase was a greeting used by the Ustashas - the WW2-era Nazi-allied regime of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH), that operated death camps for Serbs, Jews and Roma, including in Jasenovac."It's true, I was at the unveiling ceremony and see nothing contentious in that. The website of the Serb National Council in Croatia, Novosti, reported last week that the memorial plaque with the Ustasha slogan was unveiled in downtown Jasenovac on November 5, not far from the former Ustasha concentration camp. The me, in memory of 11 HOS members killed during the 1990s.
The event was attended by representatives of the municipalities of Jasenovac and Popovaca, with Mackovic giving a speech and placing a wreath at the memorial.
