Vucic promises "growth, incentives, better life"

Vucic spoke at the cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new plant of Italian auto parts maker Aunde.

"Over the past two years, we have laid the foundations for a modern Serbian economy - not so much politics as the economy," Vucic said, noting that austerity measures had reduced the deficit to below two percent.

"Now we have room to 'play' and invest in business... and invest in economic growth and better life for citizens," he said.

The Ministry of Trade and Aunde Srb signed an agreement to build another Aunde plant in Jagodina, which will hire 400 people.

The signing was also attended by First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Italian Ambassador to Serbia Giuseppe Manzo, and Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic.

The first Aunde plant opened in 2014.
