This publisher had become recognizable for the series of titles of Scottish author Alexander McCall Smith on detective agency in Botswana and with two series of titles that take place in Scotland.

On this year's International Belgrade Book Fair, "Samizdat" will host the renowned author McCall Smith that will be present on the book stand of this publisher on Saturday, October 29.

In the course of this year, "Samizdat" had published several books of Albanian authors from Albania, such as Ismail Kadare, and from Kosovo, i.e. Veton Surroi.

According to the words of Lidija Kusovac, apart from the title "Palace of Dreams" of Ismail Kadare, they had bought off copy rights for publishing his collection of short stories that will soon get out of print.

On the other hand, "Samizdat" prepares, after the novel "A Billionaire" and esseyist -publicist notes entitled "Ambassador and other heretical notes", yet another novel of Veton Surroi - "All loves of Maria Gjakoni".

"Samizdat" had also printed novel written by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama "Sacrifice", prior to his visit to Belgrade, while the first and second volume of the memoirs "Brilliant and Terrifying" of famous actor Bekim Fehmiu had been published both in Serbian and in Albanian.

Kusovac added that Fehmiu's books are sold very well not only in Kosovo, but also in Albania, and the Fair's discount is really appealing, so both parts are sold for the price of 1000 RSD.

"Samizdat b92" had published bilingual edition of Petrit Imami book "Serbs and Albanians through the Centuries" that demistifies the deeply rooted historical misconceptions on Serbian-Albanian relations.

"Samizdat" is the only publisher that prints books translated from and into Albanian, with the aim of establishing stronger ties among the two nations, as Samizdat's editor in chief concluded.
