Seven men arrested for assaulting citizens and police
The police in the town of Pancevo, northeast of Belgrade, have seven men under arrest for physically assaulting police officers.

Seven men arrested for assaulting citizens and police
While the deputy police commander and two officers were on a regular patrol of the local restaurants and cafes, a guest in one such establishment told them that an unknown person used a knife to inflicted several wounds to their chest and back, a statement issued by the Interior Ministry (MUP) said on Tuesday.When the officers entered the establishment, they found the seven young men, who attacked them as they were attempting to escape. They also attacked five more policemen who arrived at the scene in the meantime. Three police officers were injured, the statement said.
The perpetrators were subdued and brought in soon afterwards.
The suspects, charged with assaulting police officers and citizens, have been identified with their initials and age as N.P. (23), L.S. (21), B.Z. (24), M.DJ. (24), M.J. (20), S.S. (23) and M.S. (19). They have all been detained.
