"Cabinet to get pro-Russian deputy PM in upcoming reshuffle"

The paper said it learned that Nenad Popovic, leader of the Serb People's Party (SNP) that joined the ruling SNS in a pre-election coalition, could now join the government as a new deputy prime minister.

According to unofficial information, he would be in charge of economic relations with Russia, i.e., work to improve economic cooperation with those countries that Serbia has "customs duty free agreements" with - "among which Russia stands out."

There has also been speculation that Popovic could head a new government office for cooperation with Moscow, but it seems more likely he will join the government as PM Aleksandar Vucic's fifth deputy - along with Ivica Dacic, Zorana Mihajlovic, Nebojsa Stefanovic, and Rasim Ljajic.

The article said that the government should also get a new ministry, one for the EU, with Jadranka Joksimovic at its helm. She is currently minister without portfolio in charge of EU integration.

Another government office is planned, according to the daily. It will deal with ecology and should have Goran Trivan (SPS) as its head. But Ivan Cabradi (Green Party) is also mentioned as a candidate for the job.

Cabradi was the only opposition member of the National Assembly who recently voted in favor of electing Vucic's new cabinet.
