Chinese president sends letter to Serbian PM

The letter, posted on the government's website, reads as follows:

"During my recent state visit to the Republic of Serbia, you Mr. Prime Minister and your government warmly welcomed me and thoroughly planned my visit, which left me with an unforgettable impression and nice memory. I use this opportunity to express my sincerest gratitude.

During the visit, in countless meetings with President Nikolic, with you, as well as with other leaders of your esteemed country, we exchanged opinions extensively, openly and honestly and reached a broad consensus on increasing the comprehensiveness and strategies Sino-Serbian relations, and opened a new historic page of development of relations between our two countries.

Mr. Prime Minister, we met during your official visit to China last year, and the meeting with you left a deep impression on me. This time, you personally accompanied me during many activities with all members of the government and together we witnessed fruitful results of exchanges and cooperation in all fields between China and Serbia. I was deeply moved by a sincere friendship that you personally and the Serbian nation showed the Chinese people. I highly appreciate that firm determination and a positive attitude can foster substantial cooperation with China. At this point, I still enjoy the spirit of hospitality and friendship that you, Mr. Prime Minister, the government of your esteemed country and the Serbian people, gave me and the Chinese delegation.

The successful visit has once again demonstrated a sincere and strong friendship between the two countries and the two peoples of China and Serbia, and shows good trends and limitless potential development of relations between our two countries. I want to you, Mr. Prime Minister and all Serbian leaders continue making efforts to increase mutual strategic trust, deepen concrete cooperation in all fields, strengthen communication and coordination in international affairs for the benefit of our two peoples and safeguard world peace and development.

I wish prosperity to the great Serbia, and the happiness and welfare of the people. To you, Mr. Prime Minister, I wish good health and everything you want."
