Vucic "sent clear sign to Germany and United States"

"It's a message that we will not play double games. Just as Serbia is a predictable partner, so should be Germany and the U.S. We expect them to support us on our European road, not destabilize Serbia," Dacic told Prva TV.

He at the same time denied "some media reports that Serbia has new conditions on its EU road," Beta agency reported.

"Of course none of that is true. Nobody ever told us such a thing," added Dacic.

Dacic, who on Monday met with U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott, said the diplomat expressed his concern over "the incendiary rhetoric in Serbia's parliament that goes beyond diplomatic standards," and added that he hoped the Serbian government would fight "this harmful rhetoric."

In a report, Belgrade-based newspaper Blic said Scott "above all had SRS leader Vojislav Seselj in mind."

Speaking in the National Assembly, Seselj recently accused the U.S. diplomat of personally pressuring the Electoral Commission (RIK) and the Statistical Office in order to influence the outcome of the April 24 elections , and of meddling in Serbia's state politics, "for which reason he needs to be eliminated," the report added.

The Serbian Foreign Ministry late on Monday issued a statement following Dacic's meeting with Scott, saying that the latter "expressed concern over the recent incendiary political rhetoric in the Serbian parliament that goes beyond diplomatic standards."

He "expressed confidence that the Serbian government will vehemently confront and fight this harmful rhetoric."

According to this, Kyle also "noted that the U.S. supports Serbia's EU integration and the negotiation process in Brussels, expressing the expectation that the positive dynamics of bilateral ties will also be continued in the future."

He "praised Serbia's contribution to preserving regional stability and Belgrade's constructive approach to the migrant crisis."

Dacic "thanked the ambassador for the U.S. support on Serbia's path towards the EU and expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral political relations and the level of trust achieved, noting Serbia's readiness to continue the positive trend in the future."
