"EU doesn't want Kosovo talks agreements rearranged"

Kocijancic was asked about EU's stance regarding the statement of Office for Kosovo Director Marko Djuric that Serbia would consider changing the Belgrade-Pristina agreements unilaterally completely unacceptable.

Djuric spoke in reaction to a statement by EU High Representative Federica Mogherini about the Community of Serb Municipalities (SZO) made during her visit to Pristina last week, when she said .it would not be "a parallel government structure, or bring into question the territorial integrity of Kosovo."

Beta reported that in a note to Mogherini, Djuric said "we immensely respect your role, but we will not accept you or anyone else changing what was unambiguously agreed in Brussels, on Aug. 25 last year and based on which the statute of the Union will be completed in four months."

Tanjug reported it learned from Kocijancic on Tuesday that the EU is working to ensure the holding of a new round of dialogue at the highest political level, but that this will happen only after a new government is set up in Belgrade.

Mogherini is in contact with both sides to ensure steps are made that would lead to progress in the implementation of what has been agreed, said the spokesperson.

According to the report, the European Commission said that implementation of the agreements reached at the last meeting between Prime Ministers Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa in January is of utmost priority.

As Tanjug learned from diplomatic sources in Brussels, the EU continues to insist on full implementation of what has been agreed in the dialogue, which, they say, is not the case right now.

The sources also said that Mogherini would not convene a new round of dialogue until the appointment of a new prime minister in Serbia.

In the meanwhile, Belgrade and Pristina will be holding technical level talks in Brussels.
