Firefighters, building residents hurt in Belgrade fire

The fire broke out at 07:26 CET in Pere Cetkovica Street. Three medical and three firefighting teams responded to the emergency.

The Clinical Center of Serbia's Emergency Center spokesperson Nada Macura told the media that three persons were treated for smoke inhalation at the military clinic VMA, while two firefighters suffered burns and were taken to a specialized clinic in Zvecanska St.

Macura added that a three-year-old child was also taken to the hospital - because "the mother insisted" - although the child had not been injured.

A 27-year-old man was taken to the VMA when a separate fire broke out in Belgrade's Kosancicev Venac area overnight.
