The defense of Miroslav Miskovic has requested that their client be given back the EUR 12 in bail money that he paid to be released from custody.

Delta Holding owner wants EUR 12mn bail money back

Miskovic is the owner of the largest privately-held company in Serbia, Delta Holding. He has been charged and put on trial in a corruption case involving privatizations of several road maintenance companies.

The Tomanovic law firm that represents Miskovic said that the Constitutional court on January 21 for the second time ruled in favor of an appeal claiming that his constitutional and legal rights to a limited duration of detention had been violated.

As the decision to set Miskovic free on bail was based on the decision that has been found unconstitutional, his lawyers now want the EUR 12 million returned to their client.
