Match vs. Albania to go ahead as planned, no security risks
It was concluded at the meeting that there are no security risks to the Serbian men's national football team and that all requirements are met for the match to go ahead, the Anadolu agency reports.The match was in doubt after late Wednesday's incident in Tirana when a bus carrying the Serbian national football team was pelted with stones on its way from the airport to the Sheraton Hotel, where the team is staying.
No one was injured, but a bus window was shattered in the incident.
The Serbian players experienced no problems as they took a walk around the Albanian capital on Thursday.
During the walk, the Serbian delegation was guarded by a massive police presence as a helicopter flew over the area.
The Albania vs Serbia game will kick off at the Elbasan stadium at 8.45 pm Thursday.
