"Croatian companies will suffer greater damage"

He believes that the measures will be revoked sooner or later, but will in the meantime cause major difficulties and losses for both economies.

It is difficult to say just how much such a situation would last, and I expect the EU to exert pressure on both countries to normalize the matter, but since the ruling party and the opposition in Croatia are major rivals, I believe that they will continue supporting the measures against Serbia for political reasons because time has shown that such attitude towards Serbia ranks well on their political scene, Atanackovic told Tanjug.

He noted that he will probably have a telephone conversation with the president of the Croatian association of employers and encourage the association to exert influence on the Croatian government to revoke "the senseless measures."
