Serbian currency drops 0.1 percent against euro

The Serbian dinar (RSD) lost 0.1 percent of its value against the euro (EUR), ending the week with the middle exchange rate at RSD 120.3967.

Serbian currency drops 0.1 percent against euro

The value of the Serbian dinar against the U.S. dollar dropped by 0.1 per cent, and the indicative exchange rate now totals RSD 107.3341.

The value of the Serbian national currency against the U.S. dollar is 2 per cent higher compared to its standing a month ago and by 14.2 per cent lower compared to its rating a year ago.

The Serbian dinar hit its record low this year on January 29, with the official middle exchange rate at RSD 123.57, while its record high was recorded on March 20, with the official middle exchange rate at RSD 119.95.

Since the beginning of the year, NBS sold EUR 130 million on the inter-bank foreign exchange market and purchased EUR 780 million in order to prevent excessive daily oscillation of the exchange rate.
