Parents die, children injured in crash near Belgrade

Two foreign citizens died last night in a traffic accident on the Nis-Belgrade highway near Grocka when their passenger car collided with a truck.

Parents die, children injured in crash near Belgrade

One child had head injuries and was in a coma, a doctor on duty said. The children were taken to the Children's Hospital in Tirsova St. in Belgrade.

The Beta agency said the accident happened ten minutes past midnight on Thursday, when the passenger car hit the truck.

Belgrade media are reporting that the victims are German citizens, aged 59 and 45, who died when their Citroen for as yet unknown reasons collided directly with a Mercedes truck driven by a 26-year-old man.
