Holcim Serbia joins CRH Group

Cement factory Holcim Serbia based in Popovac, central Serbia, joined the global construction materials maker CRH, the factory announced on Monday.

Holcim Serbia joins CRH Group

This transaction is a part of the global agreement, based on which CRH purchased the assets of Lafarge and Holcim worth EUR 6.5 billion in total, reads the release, noting that “today CRH completed the acquisition of Holcim Serbia”.

At global level, the transaction will double CRH Group's cement production capacities and expand its portfolio in aggregates and ready-mixed concrete. As a result, CRH becomes the world's largest company in the field of construction materials and second largest in the field of aggregates.
