"Serious interest in Telekom privatization" - minister

Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic said on Tuesday there was interest in the privatization of Serbia's state-owned telecommunications company Telekom Srbija.

"Serious interest in Telekom privatization" - minister

"The number of interested bidders for Telekom privatization is sufficient," Sertic said but he did not wish to specify the actual figure.

"I will not speak about the number, but we can say there is serious competition," he said.

The minister added that the deadline for submission of non-binding offers for Telekom, in the ownership structure of which the government currently has a majority share, will end on August 3, after which "we will talk only with serious candidates."
