The Serbian Parliament amendments to the Excise Tax Law introduce 7.5 percent excise duty on electricity as of August 1.

Excise duty on electricity in effect as of August 1

The amendments adopted on Wednesday also introduce excise duties on e-liquids, which will stand at four dinars per milliliter, and on smokeless tobacco.

The Government stated that the amendments were adopted out of the need to create conditions for the implementation and enforcement of the agreement with the IMF.
