Analyst: Vucic's visit to U.S. significant for entire region

"The visit will provide additional encouragement for strengthening peace and stability in the region, and help prevent a scenario such as the one that has taken place in Macedonia, for instance," Vuletic noted in a statement to Tanjug.

Good relations with the US guarantee peace and stability in this part of the world and that is why it is important that "Serbia be at the front line of the relations that the US is establishing with countries in this region," Vuletic said.

An analysis of political developments over the past quarter of a century indicates that the US and Germany, particularly in this part of the world, had a decisive role in those developments, as well as in Serbia's fate, Vuletic explained.

"Trustful relations are hugely significant for Serbia's future, because if you do not have good relations with the US it is very difficult to expect major companies to be in any way interested in investing in this part of the world," he noted.
