VSS "expressed regrets about Radjen's case, particularly because he had jeopardised his very successful career, but also because of the sport in general."

A statement posted on the website said that the suspension started on May 18 and will last until FINA reaches a final decision in the case.

Radjen could face a four-year ban. In a letter sent to FINA, this member of Serbia's national water polo squad said he "realized the error he had made," and "underscored he had not taken the substance in order to achieve better sporting results."
