Macedonia "won't have better friend than Serbia"

BELGRADE President Tomislav Nikolic on Monday in Belgrade received Macedonian Ambassador to Serbia Ljubisa Georgievski in a farewell visit. Nikolic stated during their conversation that Macedonia "will never have a better and more sincere friend than Serbia." Macedonia "won't have better friend than Serbia" For that reason, the president noted that he "expects all remaining debatable issues to be solved as soon as possible." Nikolic thanked Georgievski on his contribution to raising the two countries' friendly relations to the highest possible level. He underlined that this is particularly reflected in the fact that that the memorial to fallen Serbian soldiers in the Battle of Kumanovo in 1912 located on Zebrnjak hill near Kumanovo, Macedonia, was renovated last year and for the first time since Macedonia became independent one Serbian holiday - the century of the Battle of Kumanovo - was officially marked in its territory, the Serbian president's press service stated. Ambassador Georgievski thanked President Nikolic on exceptional cooperation in the development of friendship between the two states, and expressed hope that in future the two sides will conduct such a policy which will make the two countries and their peoples even closer.
