Tanjug is reporting that the water level is expected to reach between 730 and 740 centimeters, while downstream in Apatin, it will rise to between 770 and 780. Vode Vojvodine said that the announced water levels, although exceptionally high, would not endanger the areas that were being protected from flooding, although vacation cottages along the Danube, as well as settlements which had been built in "disallowed areas" in the Danube riverbed would be flooded, Beta reported.
