BELGRADE The Serbian parliament will meet on March 14 and discuss the issues related to food safety, it has been announced. At the request of the parliamentary group of the opposition Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), a question day has been scheduled for next Thursday. MPs, ministers to discuss food safety next week Its topic will be, "Food safety in the Republic of Serbia and the health of citizens - standards and accountability for their implementation." The LDP requested the session on February 26, after the disclosure of results suggesting the presence of aflatoxin in milk in Serbia. Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic said that cabinet ministers holding relevant portfolios would be providing answers to MPs.
