1. Well, dear, my understanding is that the adoption of the declaration of independence of 17 February 2008 did not violate general international law, Security Council resolution 1244 (1999) or the Constitutional Framework. What part of my understanding is incorrect?!
    (icj1, 16 November 2017 21:17)

My dear I doubt you understand anything at all. Trying to explain legalistic nuances to you is like trying to explain it to a rock - you just don't get as it flies right over your head and you keep quoting the same old stuff someone wrote for you ages ago.

Lets try and see if it sinks in this time - keeping fingers crossed.

A declaration of independence is not illegal since declarations are not covered by international law. However, separating from a country is covered by international law. What you need to do is seek from the international court to rule that Kosovo's separation was legal and thus remove any doubt and prove to Serbs it was legal.

If you even attempted that one the US would string you guys up LOL.

Izetbegovic would never tolerate, let alone recognise, any autonomous Croatian region within the Federation half of Bosnia. The Croats are behind the eight ball since they have been bleeding population continuously since the Federation came into force. They are no longer a people in Bosnia, but now a minority.

Thatís why you have Cavic sticking with the Serbs in the hope he can salvage something. Highly amusing these Croats, they hate Serbs in Croatia, but seek help from Serbs in Bosnia.

Unlike RS which has specific boundaries stipulated in the Dayton Agreement, the Croats have no agreement or defined border between them and the Bosniaks for it to have any type of autonomy or even break away.

Croatia has a mighty forec of 600 professional soldiers and a couple of second hand helicopters they got from the US opps I forgot that they paid for. I nearly also forgot those Humvees that "only" needed a spray job but still rusting in a garage in a Zagreb suburb.

I recommend that if Croatian 20,000 reservists attack RS to take over Brcko,
they have rubber ducks to use to cross Sava Rvier.

Serbs know that from December to end of February no worries and make sure your Croats tell Serbs in advance that you need time to save money for fuel to drive old Yugo army trucks. Lenny, if BS was awarded prizes Croats would win hands down year after.

Again, you don't understand it. Law has everything to do with language, the wording used, interpretation and being non-ambiguous. Like any court, the ICJ knows that of course but also knew too well that their verdict had the potential power to set of an avalanche of declarations of independence worldwide. They did not want to piss off their member states by being responsible for a string of declarations of independence. So that is why they opted to keep the wording ambiguous. A factual recognition of Kosovo by the ICJ has no legal basis in international law as I explained. If they would have done that, that would have opened up a can of legal problems worldwide and for the ICJ itself.
As for your other remarks, Kosovo is not recognized by the UNSC (and as long as Serbia does not recognize Kosovo, so will not the UNSC because it requires unanimity); the EU; 5 out of 28 EU countries; about half the world's countries. Kosovo is not part of UNESCO and many other international institutions. Kosovo cannot even use its name without the asterisk. Serbia might not control Kosovo, but as it is now, Kosovo can not move forward. Not to mention it is a dysfunctional state. Basically, it is in a stalemate situation.

    (CarLazar, 14 November 2017 15:25)

On this site there are many people who make claims that they are Serbs, but the vast majority are not what they say.

Now as I said before there is no way Izetbegovic can use arms against RS because they have been disarmed. So unless they have an air force, tank regiments and missile batteries itís all hot air from little Izzy plus Serbia guarantees the safety of RS. Little Izzy is supported by the US and their hanger on and itís in their interest to keep the ďpot boilingĒ.

On the issue of Croatian reservist, let me tell you that in about 2 weeks Croatian military bases will be closed until the end of February. Its something instituted several years ago to save money. Croatia does not have an air force nor sufficient tanks to fight an aggressive grandmother. This mythology of Croatian troops entering Brcko if RS was to break away (LOL) comes from the end of the war in Bosnia. Croatia does not have the funds to organise a piss up in a pub.

Even if Croatia could do what you claim they would be invading another country and there is no way key NATO countries would get involved if Serbia started to level Croatia. Plus, Russia guarantees the existence of RS.

So Iíd sleep easy and not worry the BS being spread.

When the time comes the referendum will be held and RS will leave BiH and not a peep will come from anyone.

The ďgreat powersĒ would have removed Dodik a long time ago, but Milorad has one person on his side called Vladimir Putin and it is up to Putin to give the green light on the timing of the break. Russia is playing a bigger game throughout Europe so at this time it may not be convenient to break up BiH.

Don't make accent on Islam as it once was part of the Orthodox belief. Bosnians in a great degree were forced to accept Islam in 17-18 centuries. It was the time when the Osmans had to introduce their own religion to withstand the Romanovs and their German masters. Same process happened to the USSR and it's our own fault that we afforded to be weak & naiive like schoolgirls. Bosniaks are our own problem to be solved without NATO and Turkey whose president is sitting with Putin right now.

  42. I don't think recognizing Kosovo will bring the Bosnians any benefit whatsoever. If they do recognize, then that opens the door for RS to also break away. It would be hypocritical of Sarajevo to say the Albs in Kosovo can, but the Srbs in Bosnia cannot.
Also, what would Bosnia recognizing bring Kosovo? Nothing! It would remain the same for them because they still need BG recognition to attain legalization od becoming a Republic. You can carry on the current farce, however, you still have the same problem...0 investment, and without this, same hole! A deal needs to be negotiated between Pristina & BG that's both can live with....and time in on BG's side....seems the "masters" of "kosova" are losing their inter...I mean, grip!

  43. The region is still a mess. Just goes to show the western alliance have no clue how to build peace. Seems they are only good at destruction, as we see all over the world. They create one chaotic mess after another.

It is only a rump BiH that can recognise "Kosova"***, i.e. a BiH without RS otherwise there is no point even considering it. With all the geopolitical changes we are seeing and the situation in Catalonia, I wouldn't be surprised if an opportunity for RS to declare independence surfaces although I also see a possibility for Serbia to take all of BiH. Something Putin and Erdogan could agree to.

However, that said, I don't think anyone in BiH has an appetite for war, which could have been avoided if it wasn't for the US and Germany.

  44. Let's face the facts. The different ethnic groups are being forced to live in one country with each other against their own will. Who the hell is the US to impose this, after all, they are 7000 miles away and this is none of their f***ing business! The Muslims cannot stand the Serb and the Croats in as much as the latter cannot stand them therefore, the only logical conclusion is for everyone to go their merry way. But no, the Muslims want to keep the country together in hopes of reproducing like rabbits to eventually out number the other two. They want to impose their Sharia law wherever they are the majority. Let the country dissolve and let the Muslims either convert back to their ancestral heritage or go to Arabia. I have always wondered why are they retaining their ancestral Serbian last name if they hate the Serbs so much? Why don't they just go totally Arab?

  46. Bilbao Serbia has nothing to do with R.S. It would become its own state. Like Kosovo. If it can happen in Kosovo Ukraine why not Bosnia.... To be honest They should just start a Balkan Union and rebuild. Problem with these people is they can live with or with out one another. When something is not working you break it down and rebuild it.

Mike so what there will be two Serbian States in Balkans: Republic Serbia and Serbska?

    Would Serbia it self-accept this?

  49. The election year is approaching, and journalists want to ask questions. Such as (primarily geographically), the RS cannot merely be independent, and there is no point in seeking independence based on human rights violations or the right to self-determination.
Serbs in the RS have perhaps the highest degree of autonomy in Europe, certified and signed, which they do not know how to organize them so that the second pair of sleeves is better.
Serbia signed the Dayton Accords and thus assumed their share of the obligation towards the UN member state. Abandoning these commitments is a bit bigger bite.

Of course, all this is true if it goes according to international law. If we go through the force, then let us all help God.

When Dodik pushed referendum, you had 20,000 reservists ready from Croatia to jump on Brcko, Vucic was on the phone with Dodik telling him not to play games.

"SJ" Maybe you like this war, but us living here do not. Maybe Putin likes to poke EU/US in the eye with Bosnia but not with our children none of my sons should die for Dodik to stay in power or Putin to play geopolitical games.

  50. Its suffice to say when the green light is given to RS she will hold a referendum and break away from BiH and no one will lift a finger. Izetbegovic is talking through his arse.
Anyone recall all the fuss over a referendum about the day of the Serb Republic? Putin gave the green light and it was held and, despite some half effort from the Bosniaks to have it legal extinguished, itís now official.

    (sj, 13 November 2017 12:11)

SJ I would love for RS to declare independence! If Dodik is really trying to do this then he must, otherwise, he is just using it as a political ploy for votes!

Question: would it be a independent state or join Serbia?

  51. "Izetbegovic said that "the majority will be on the side of defending territorial integrity of BiH."??? What about defending the "territorial integrity" of Yugoslavia back in the 1990s? Izetbegovics criminal father illegally declared independence and started the horrible war in Bosnia!

Should little Izzy even think that his Bosniaks would take up arms against the Serbs in the event of RS breaking away, letís just say there will be no more problems with Muslims in that region.

On the matter of Izzy being Erdoganís man in the Balkans LOL? Erdogan has very few friends since his allies the US/EU arranged a coup to remove him from office and Russia saving him. Its Moscow that calls these shots not Ankara.
