1. The Economist has predicted every year for the last 15 years that Russia will collapse. So much for being professional, except professional dreamers. The problem with Belgrade is that it won't categorically say NO to Berlin, or the commission, which is why they keep ok moving the goal posts. The are no rules. Just bs.

Dont forget to add France and Italy. They also support Kosova 100% and they both participated in bombing Yugoslavia and recongnizing Republic of Kosova as an sovereign state. Not to mention both France and Italy are fighting for more recongnitions of Kosova worldwide :)

  3. we will soon hear the death knell for Russia and hence Serbia.

It's a long list of those who predicted our collapse. Please don't waste your time waiting. Besides if we really feel bad we may seize Europe and no one will dare to resist you. And we'll be neighbors again ... in KIM, in BIH, in Croatia ect. And by the way USD 50 per barrel is a nice price for us so our currency reserves increase every month. Total reserves of the central bank and our 2 funds exceed usd 500 bln and we are the biggest buyer of gold as you must know. We buy it inside so no one knows how much gold do we have.

  4. This is 2017 and your information is from 2005, but still bandied around by the US as factual much like China is the second largest economy despite Beijing having surpassed the US in September 2014.

Russia has already constructed pipelines into China direct for gas and oil and more are in the construction phase so your theory of Moscow collapsing if energy ceased to flow to Europe is wishful thinking.

These US sanctions are meaningless to Russia since it has started to concentrate in Asia, but if Merkel is not worried she would not have threatened retaliatory sanctions on the US. The US wants to sell its much more expensive and taxpayer subsidised gas to the EU.

If oil drops in price further it also hurts the US corporations. Have you ever heard of Exxon and there are about 200 others in the US?

But do post when Russia collapse please.

  5. Always remember efficient industry runs on cheap, plentiful and reliable energy and the hand that turns the tap on or off is in control and it isn’t Germany or the US.

    sj,
With all your blather you seem to forget that if Russia turns on the oil spigot she will lose money if she sells it at its current price. And, the price of oil is expected to drop further, consequently Russia is caught in a Catch 22. That along with the new sanctions means we will soon hear the death knell for Russia and hence Serbia.

  9. Mounir, "Barnabic elected by the MI5" - really? I'm afraid you have a poor grasp of both the Serbian political system and British security agency responsibilities. The Prime Minister was selected for the post (not elected to it), and it is MI6 that operates overseas (MI5 is our domestic security agency). As for countries having interests in the workings of others, we all do it and we all have it done to us - no one is immune.

  11. The west had Boris Tadic in government and even he could not “bring home the bacon” so Berlin’s chances are zero.

Here is a question. How can Merkel draw Serbia away from Russia when Germany is dependent on Russian oil and gas??????? Why is she squawking over the US latest sanctions? If they want Russia on its knees why not buy the more expensive US gas instead Merkel threatens sanctions against the US?

Always remember efficient industry runs on cheap, plentiful and reliable energy and the hand that turns the tap on or off is in control and it isn’t Germany or the US.
