Asked about the possibility of partitioning Kosovo as "one of the options that could arise from a wider social dialogue he has initiated" - Vucic did not want to say anything, "because who knows what could be take out of any answer" - and then "speculations would never end."

Vucic also said that "two things are very important."

"Firstly, I think that we will find it difficult to find that solution (for Kosovo and Metohija), very difficult. The chances are small. But, although small, it's worth trying, because if we do not try it means we are not interested in the future of our children "Said Vucic," he said.

A solution is possible, he stressed, only through agreement between Serbs and Albanians, and in order to reach an agreement - "it is impossible for one side to be satisfied, and the other dissatisfied."

"It is only possible if both are dissatisfied or both are at least a little satisfied," he added.

On the other hand, Vucic believes that an internal dialogue is of great importance for the country:

"Whether we reach some agreement or not, we will clarify our thoughts, be more objective and more serious in the future when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija," the president believes.

"Nobody knows it better," he added, "than the Serbs who live there - and they show it in all elections and seek responsibility, not empty heroics."

"But, just as they do not ask for that, they do not ask for cowardice, such as, 'here's everything on a platter, we're done with you'," said Vucic.

According to him, "a comprehensive, serious approach" is needed as well as a serious conversation with the Albanians - if they want it.

"If not, then nothing, and nothing again, and it would not be the first time that it's nothing," said Vucic, pointing out that "this" has been going on for more than 140 years.

"If we can solve it, OK, if not," he went on, "at least some of us have tried, unlike some others who thought about lining their pockets, without ever solving anything in any way."

According to Vucic, those who have no intention of going to war but would like somebody else to, are the ones "fond of fighting and criticizing."

Vucic said that as president of Serbia and the supreme commander, he would "do everything so our armed forces are capable of responding to every challenge, hoping that there would never be a need for their engagement."
