The head of the strike committee Zoran Markovic "declined to elaborate on the talks, but said they were constructive," the agency said.

The Serbian government announced that the parties on Wednesday discussed four demands of the strike committee, and that the negotiations "will continue in the coming days, when each point will be specifically discussed."

The demands "concern the process analysis and possible optimization of work, provision of night transport for workers who work overtime, as well as the possibilities for increasing the salary and payment of efficiency bonuses."

According to the government, Fiat representatives "expressed the willingness to organize a special commission, which will also be attended by a representative of the strikers’ committee, which will aim to analyze all the work processes in that company for possible optimization of operations and correction of all possible shortcomings.

At the same time, they "emphasized that they would consider options to provide compensation for workers who work overtime at night, but will talk about this in more detail tomorrow."

In terms of other demands, Brnabic "recalled that the workers of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles are hard-working and loyal people, and that this is the first time that they have gone on strike since the company started operating in Serbia."

The prime minister "appealed to the two parties to discuss in the coming days all possible options that would be for the satisfaction of all parties."

Fiat Serbia workers began their strike on June 27 and announced that it was over on Tuesday.
