Ex-president cancels news conference unhappy with attendance
In the end, two reporters showed up, but Tadic did not. SDS spokesman Konstantin Samofalov said that Tadic canceled his address "considering that no reporters came, except for two representatives of two agencies, without cameras."According to Samofalov, it is "incredible" that a day after photographs were published showing "citizens and journalists being dragged like sheep in Belgrade's streets during Vucic's inauguration (swearing-in), no reporters showed up for a news conference called by a parliamentary opposition party."
The media in this way "implicitly supported the current authorities' actions," he asserted.
Samofalov also revealed that the topic of the news conference was to be "the violence being carried out by Vucic's authorities."
